I didn't think I would do it.

"Why don't you make a blog of your vacation?"  That's what my manager said to me, late Friday afternoon.

I remember hearing about blogs when they came about.  Wasn't for me; I don't think my life is that interesting.  Later on came MySpace.com and Facebook.com.  Then you could show and tell the whole world "you".  Still not me*.  I have my on-line photo albums, mostly to keep family & friends up on my life.  There are more pictures of automobiles, motorcycles, and "how-to"s than anything.  But still, I don't think my life is that interesting.  Rather ordinary, unfortunately.

There are two blogs (at the time of this writing) I have found that I enjoy.  Maybe because they gave me information on what interests me...hmm...  The first one is of a friend's diesel engine conversion for his VW Bus and the other one is from a fellow who owns a Ducati Sport Classic 1000 like mine.  Maybe sticking to a particular subject -- and expanding later if I feel comfortable -- would be a good start.

So here I go, into the wild electron wonder, with a blog about my vacation.  Let's see where it goes from here!

*I eventually succumbed to peer pressure to have a Facebook page.  But I don't it visit much as I use it mostly to point people to my personal web site.
